The Lady of Shalott



We'd like to begin by sharing one of our favourite paintings, The Lady of Shalott, by John William Waterhouse.  This remarkably moving work was created in 1888 and was based upon Alfred Lord Tennyson's 1833 poem of the same name.  Currently housed at Tate Britain, you can read more about The Lady of Shalott on their webpage for the painting, https://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/waterhouse-the-lady-of-shalott-n01543
